The former InterContinental hotel, built between 1968 and 1974 under the supervision of Karel Filsak in the historic center of Prague, is one of the best examples of Central European brutalist architecture. Furthermore, owing to the involvement of a number of artists and craftsmen, it is one of the most representative buildings of its time. The ongoing reconstruction has reached the final stages of its first phase. Moving forward, the aim is to once again use the building as a respectable representation of the best of past and contemporary craft and artistic creation.
